Ms. Slayden & Ms. Alycia

Alycia Dinkins

Upper Elementary Lead Teacher

Ms. Slayden is a recent graduate from the College of Charleston with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Sociology.  At CofC she enjoyed the work of being a Teaching Fellow Scholar serving as both a secretary and vice chair.  Ms. Slayden brings with her student teaching experiences in 4th, 3rd and 6th grades plus numerous other experiences as a summer camp counselor.

Upper Elementary Assistant Teacher

Ms. Alycia moved to Charleston in 2002 after graduating from Georgia Southern University with a degree in Business Administration. After spending over a decade in the financial services industry in various leadership and advisory roles, she decided to focus on her growing family. After spending a few years at home she was ready to return to the workforce but was seeking a different direction. Her strong desire to help others, achieve personal goals, build strong relationships and stay connected to the school community all led her to ECMCS. She lives in Mt. Pleasant with her husband, Will, and their four children—Wright, Kate, Bennett and Bowen. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, riding bikes and hanging at the beach or pool.
