Upper Elementary Lead Teacher
Ms. Slayden is a recent graduate from the College of Charleston with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Sociology. At CofC she enjoyed the work of being a Teaching Fellow Scholar serving as both a secretary and vice chair. Ms. Slayden brings with her student teaching experiences in 4th, 3rd and 6th grades plus numerous other experiences as a summer camp counselor.
Upper Elementary Assistant Teacher
Ms. Kim is a Temple University Graduate. She earned her bachelors of science in landscape architecture with a certificate in sustainability in 2009. In school her focus was on designing children’s gardens and healing gardens. After completing her degree Ms. Kim worked for two years on small organic farms in Burlington Vt and Philadelphia Pa. While raising her two children she took a break from farming and started teaching Pilates and kid’s yoga. Ms. Kim is passionate about teaching children the importance of mindfulness and the environment. She moved here from Connecticut with her family in March.
