LAUGHTON GOODING

Upper Elementary Assistant Teacher

Mr. Laughton was born and raised in a suburb of Los Angeles in sunny California. During his junior year of high school he moved with his family to London, England and spent the next five years there.  After attending The University of Maryland Europe, he continued to travel and look for his next adventure. He came to Charleston in the summer of 2006 to visit a friend and instantly fell in in love with the city. He moved to Charleston six months later and has never looked back. One of his primary passions has always been working with children. He spent 7 years working with high school students with disabilities before he found his home here at East Cooper Montessori.  In addition to working for The Charleston County School District he also teaches fitness classes at a local kids gym. In his free time he enjoys traveling and sightseeing with his beautiful wife and their five-year-old boy. He also enjoys running, hiking and anything that involves the ocean. He is looking forward to spending this upcoming school year enriching the lives of all the children he is going to be working with here at ECMCS.
