ACADEMIC GIFTED AND TALENTED TESTING:
If you have a child in grades 3-8 that you would like to have tested for identification as Academically Gifted and Talented, please contact your child’s teacher to complete a nomination form or complete the form found here. Gifted and talented students are those who are identified in grades 1-12 as demonstrating high performance ability or potential in academic areas and therefore require an educational program beyond that normally provided by the general school program in order to achieve their potential (Regulation 43-220, Gifted and Talented). At ECMCS, these services are provided in the classroom by our GT endorsed lead teaching staff. The South Carolina Department of Education only funds programs for students served in grades 3-12 at the present time. Further information can be found in the GT parent handbook available below. If you have any questions, please email Ms. Lara at email@example.com.
