VIRGINIA TAFT

Upper Elementary Lead Teacher

Virginia joined the ECMCS family in 2006.  She holds a Master's Degree in Education from Plymouth State University, Bachelors Degree in Business Management from North Carolina State University, and Montessori Elementary I and Elementary II Certification from Seacoast Montessori Training Center.  Additionally, she holds a South Carolina teaching license in the area of Elementary Education and a Gifted and Talented endorsement from the College of Charleston. She is Project Read certified and OGAP Math trained in multiplicative and fractions. Virginia is from Asheville, NC and enjoys hiking, playing at the beach, reading, and spending time with her family, husband Ben, son Ryder, and daughter Winslow.   She feels blessed and honored to have found ECMCS and "the school of her dreams."


ANNA GETSINGER

Upper Elementary Lead Teacher


Ms. Anna has 11 years of teaching experience, holds her SC state teaching certification, a Masters degree in Literacy, and her Montessori certification. Ms. Anna enjoys being creative and makes jewelry as a hobby.  She is also an animal lover who enjoys being outside, especially on the boat or at the beach with her new daughter, Cora. She is a native of Charleston, SC. Anna will co-teach with Virginia, taking the lead on the ELA and Social Studies subjects - which are her passions. In the Upper Elementary program, ELA & Social Studies are team planned by Slayden, Melissa, & Caroline. Anna is excited to join this planning team as well! She is greatly looking forward to being reunited with some of her former 3rd grade graduates as well as other Lower Elementary students she knows from past years.

 






GRACE CRAIG

Upper Elementary Assistant Teacher

Ms. Grace is a Charleston native and attended ECMCS from 1st-8th grade. She graduated with a degree in Recreational Therapy from Clemson University in 2017 and moved back to Charleston soon after.  She began substitute teaching at ECMCS in January of 2018 and quickly realized her passion for education. She is very excited to be working full time with one classroom this year and becoming a more permanent member of the ECMCS family. In her spare time, Grace loves going to the beach, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family!
